Easter 2009
I know this is late, but I have been busy with the baby and haven't been keeping up with much else, including blogging! Here are pictures from the Easter Hunt/Birthday Party for Haley at my dads. I didn't get a single photo from the day of Easter when everyone was all dressed up. I guess I will have to dress everyone up again to get that one!
The latest of Trey
Here are some recent photos of Trey. I can't believe how big he is getting and that he is already a month old. Where has the time gone?
Enjoying the Easter holiday.

God, the Great Physician
Yesterday was a wonderful day. I went with my mom to her chemo doctor and met him for the first time. He gave us great news about my mom's cancer. It has not spread through out her organs or bones and is isolated to her breast and a lymph node under her left arm. He said it is completely curable although she will still have both breast removed. Before she does that however, she will have to do some chemo to kill and shrink the cancer she does have. The doctor thinks she can have surgery after a couple rounds of chemo. She will also have chemo after the surgery to kill anything that was missed. This was very good news since we thought the cancer was much worse. I am so relieved from his news.
And to think if that was not enough I received even more good news. Right before we met with her doctor, DJ called to tell me the clinic had called to inform us that Trey's lab results were complete. He does not have an Organic Acid Disorder and is completely healthy! YEAH! What another relief.
What is even more amazing than both of these is that morning on the way to the doctor with my mom I heard a song on K-Love. I don't even remember the song or who sang it, but God spoke directly to my heart and told me he is with me and this all was not a mistake. Now as a Christian I have known this, but haven't realized this until just yesterday morning. And instead of having my own pity party every day he told me to move on and find my place in his plan. And I did just that! I turned everything over to Him and accepted everything that was put on my plate. I went in to the office to meet my mom knowing that the worst could happen and that is what God wants. I came out knowing he does listen to our prayers and even though my mom still has cancer, it is not as bad as originally thought and she will make it through OK. GOD IS GOOD! I can't believe I didn't trust him completely as I should have. My friend Lisa put it into prospective with one of her latest blogs. You can read about it here. Thanks for that blog!
Thank you to everyone who was praying faithfully for my mother and my son. God has listened and has answered the prayers the way He knows best, and that is just perfect for me!

The last 2 weeks
Well, blogging has been put on hold due to the new baby. But I am back! I have been quite busy sleeping, feeding, changing diapers, cleaning house, tending to Hannah and snuggling with my newest man of the house (and the older one too)! This last week DJ has been on his off week and it has been so nice. He will have to go back to work starting Monday and this next week will be hard.
For the ones who haven't heard, Thursday we received some upsetting news about Trey's newborn screen. It had some abnormal results that showed he might possibly have an Organic Acid Disorder. We have had him re-screened and are having to wait ONE WHOLE WEEK for the results. I know this may not sound like a long time, but when it comes to your baby's health it is an eternity! The condition is treatable and if left untreated could be very dangerous and possible cause infancy death. However if Trey has it we will be getting him treatment right away! There are symptoms to look out for and so far he is not showing them. But now that I know what to look for I find I'm questioning myself and wondering if he is showing them and I am not noticing. Please pray for us this week for it will be a trying one for me since I am hormonal and cry easily.
Also, my mother has had some medical work done this week to evaluate if she has breast cancer. We do not have a family history of breast cancer, but you never know where and with whom it will start. Her biopsy results will come in early next week as well. So, keep her in your prayers as well!
On a better note, here are some pictures of Trey since we have been home! Enjoy, I know I have!
My unprofessional attempt to get photos for his birth announcements.
Hannah holding Trey and giving him kisses. She is getting better each day and has sang Twinkle Little Star to him and gives him night night kisses before bed. I think it wont be too long before she comes around completely. I am so proud of her.
Holding him for the first time (she didn't want anything to do with him or me in the hospital, but once home she asked if she could hold him and if I would take her picture. So cute! (Hannah fell off the couch and hit the coffee table the week before Trey was born and had this Indian like scar in between her eyes for a week after and she had a small black eye.)

Trey is here!
Here are a few photos of Trey (most are on the video recorder and Cindy's camera, so those will have to wait for now). His labor and delivery went well. Doctor Keller broke my water around 7:30 am and then the contractions really started to get intense. It was around 10 am when I dilated to a 4 and was able to get my epidural. That was an experience different than the last time. The anesthesiologist ended getting some medicine in my spinal fluid and so my left side had a spinal block all day and then he stuck me two more times to get the rest of my right side numb. Finally I was able to relax after the meds. kicked in. We started pushing at 1 pm and after having pushed for 45 minutes he came at 1:45 pm. He was not going to come out on his own so the doctor had to use forceps and cut me a little. Trey weighed 9 lbs 14 ozs. He measured 21 1/2 inches and his head was 14 3/4 inches. His feet are huge! He did have some problems breathing after coming out but within 5 or so minutes he came around and started stabilizing. He had to give us a little scare, but is doing very well now. I am doing well too. A little sore, but over all well. I am looking forward to some sleep, if Trey lets me! Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts today. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery and a more perfect son. We are so blessed.
I will try to post some more pictures tomorrow!
We're off to the hospital!
We are getting ready to leave and go to the hospital to have the baby. I will be induced this morning since Trey didn't come earlier. I will try to keep everyone posted through blogs and emails. I will also try to post some photos as soon as we are able. I am not sure if NLR Baptist has Internet connections from the rooms or not. So, we will see. Thanks for all your prayers!

Last Family (of 3) Outing
Tonight I didn't really feel like making the dinner I had originally planned (Chicken N' Rice). So I thought it would be nice to take Hannah out to dinner one last time before Trey comes. DJ was game and picked Colton's Steak House, one of our favorites here in Benton. Hannah did so well. She acted well for her age and ate a lot of her Mac & Cheese. I was sitting there at the table thinking of all the times we went out with her and left the restaurant frustrated because of her behavior. We have finally reached the point were she will behave when asked (unless she is tired and then it is our fault for not making her take a nap) and will eat what we order her (as long as it is something she likes) with out throwing a big fit and causing a scene. With less than two days to go until Trey arrives I wanted to take it all in one last time. Now we will get to start all over with him. I can't wait! I am praying for a better mannered child this time around, one who will still be all boy, but will have some self control over his tantrums in public. I know, wishful thinking huh!
