Hannah's second game of soccer was on a really cold day! It was also picture day. So, in the formal pictures Hannah was making a really funny face because she was cold. And she wore her jacket the ENTIRE game with her hand tucked in her pockets the ENTIRE TIME!
Really cold!
Below is her 3rd or 4th game. I can't remember! At this point she really started goofing off more during games and practices. So I didn't have as much to take pictures of!
Today was Hannah's first soccer game for this year. It is her second year to play with Upward Soccer. She has really improved from last year! She did a great job today and got to play a lot!
Coming out of the tunnel is always a cool thing to do!
Go Hannah Go!
Trey needed some camera attention too!
More of Trey!
Unfortunately Hannah didn't score any goals and our team didn't "win". This picture was one of the few goals our team got and Hannah was up in the middle of it!
Our church held a Saturday service this year, in addition to their normal Sunday services. We decided to take advantage of going on Saturday so we could have more family time on Sunday. So we woke up and dyed eggs. This was the kids first time.
Trey's eggs are on top and Hannah's eggs are on bottom. She decided to put glitter on hers!
That afternoon we went to my dad's house to eat and hunt eggs. Here is a picture of all the big kids ready to hunt. Trey liked wearing the basket on his head and his cousin Aaron decided it would be cool too! (Trey, Aaron, Austin, Brandon & Hannah)
This is Hannah's second year to play Upward Soccer through our church. I wasn't sure she would want to play again this year. Last year she didn't seem to be into it very much. I decided to ask her anyway and she said she really wanted to. She has really tried hard to do her best. At evaluations she listened and did what the coaches wanted her to do. At her first practice she worked hard and did her best. I can't wait till her first game! She really has come a long way since last year! The following pictures are from her evaluations.
Dribbling the ball to the line.
And dribbling it back.
Waiting her turn and getting instructions! So serious!
Kicking a goal. She actually did very well in this area! Although she didn't have anyone trying to take the ball away from her. We will see how she does during the practices and games!
This year I am going to try to grow some herbs in the back yard. I don't really have a garden so I thought the planters would be a good idea. If my neighbor can do it, then so can I! :) We'll see!
My basil and rosemary plants. While watering them one day I noticed my rosemary plant had a caterpillar in it. I left it alone and a couple days later I noticed it had started making a cocoon. I thought this was cool! I didn't disturb it and then a few more days went by and I decided I would tell Hannah about it. I was afraid she would bother it if I told her sooner. She loves to go out and check on it everyday! I hope we will get to see the actual butterfly, but our chances aren't good since it is outside and not contained!
Here are some catch up photos and video of the kids. Enjoy!
Trey's best friend Jake had a Pirate themed birthday party. Trey LOVED going to this party. DJ took him since I had prior commitments. The kids got to dig for treasure and dress like a pirate. Trey wore his pirate stuff ALL DAY! Not just at the party but after he got home too. He was very upset when Hannah broke his sword. :(
Trey helping Daddy move some fire wood on the big tractor! He thought this was pretty cool.
Hannah had to have a turn too!
This girl LOVES to dress up! I think she can make a costume out of anything. Her imagination is so great I sometimes can't keep up! We were at DJ's parents doing our taxes and she comes out with this on. Her favorite thing to do is layer the costumes to make a whole new one!
Again, her dressing up! And Iva too!
I just LOVE this! Trey, Hannah and some friend's kids were playing hide and seek at my dad's house. Trey just recently started to learn how to play the game. He has been playing in our house with daddy and Hannah. This was the first time outside with others. This picture is his idea of "hiding". I guess he thinks if he can't see the other kids, then they can't see him! So cute!
These next photos are from our mudding trip. I took them on my good camera and just now got around to posting them. They were taken after we finished mudding. The kids played while lunch was being cooked.
Leave it to my kids to find the nearest water/mud puddle to play in!
They were getting tired of me taking their pictures.
Video of the kids from the last couple of weeks:
This is the kids first time this year to play in the sprinkler. The weather has been so warm lately (un-seasonably warm) so I let them play one afternoon. They loved it!
Trey is my "helper". He will help me with almost anything. And he loves to copy others. He saw the shovel and just started to dig. Then he thought it would be cool to bury Hannah.
