Just some random things...

Lexi, begging for food.
She does this a lot! I promise I don't starve her, despite what she will tell you!

The next photos are from a storm that came through. It was a lightening storm, and although I didn't get a picture of actual lightening, the sky was still pretty. (Sorry for the blurry photos, I didn't have my tripod with me and I was holding the camera while using a delayed timer to get enough light to expose the film.)

There is a God!

DJ playing in the state chess tournament. I love my dork!!!

DJ at a pharmacy conference with some co-workers.

Me and little man hanging outside on a nice day!

Lexi just being lazy. She has become quite the little lap dog.

Trey being silly with Daddy's hat.

Hannah cut her hair, again! Grrr! (This actually happened before school started!)

Can you tell they are Father and Son?

 I guess he was comfortable!

There is a new sheriff in town!

She must have had some fun, because she looks worn out.

This is just Hannah being Hannah! It was like 90 degrees out this day, but she wanted to wear this!

Trey "playing" daddy in chess. It was pretty cute. He kept calling the bishop a space ship!

Welcome Home Matt

The end of August brought home my brother Matt. He was in Fort Benning, Georgia in basic training for the Army. He graduated and was able to take two weeks leave to visit his family before heading to Hawaii where he will be stationed for the next three years. Lucky Dog! Here are a few pictures of the time when he was here.

He lost a total of 20 lbs while in basic training. Now doesn't he look sharp in his uniform! I took some family pictures of him and his family. Their not professional but it is something for them to have while the baby is still little.

 Matt and his son Hunter.

 Matt, Elizabeth and Hunter

Hunter having some fun with the little flag.

 DROOL!!!

You talking to me?

Little Feet

Trey got to wear his hat and be like his uncle Matt.

The first full day back we all went to Playtime Pizza to have a good time and enjoy time together with the kids.

 Hunter was pretty wiped out!

I think Matt was happy to be able to eat what ever he wanted, and how ever much he wanted! PIZZA!

We are really proud of you and the sacrifice you have made for our country! We love you and enjoy your time in Hawaii. I will be coming to visit!

First Day of School

Hannah's first day of the 1st grade. She was so excited about meeting her teacher and seeing who was going to be in her class this year. And of course she picked out her own clothes for the special day, with my supervision!

The first day of school picture!

Little Brother wishing her a great day at school.

Hannah and her teacher Mrs. Pafford. She is super sweet!

Hannah at her desk getting ready for the day.

 Trey's first day of Preschool.

His teacher is Mrs. Hannah. She is a super sweet lady and Trey really loves her.

He was pretty wiped out after school. Fell asleep on the way home!

Summer Vacation ~ Tuesday

Tuesday was a crazy weather day. The forecast showed scattered showers in the morning and thunderstorms in the afternoon. So we decided to go to the beach when it was just sprinkling. The waves were awesome and the kids wanted to try out their new boogie boards. Hannah LOVED it! Because of the sprinkling I didn't bring down my camera. I was afraid it would get rained on. So no cool pictures of that! At lunch time though the weather started to get ugly so we went up to eat and rest for the afternoon. However the weather ended up being pretty in the afternoon and so the kids got to go to the pool and swim.

 Pretty sunset after the rain.

Tuesday night we all went out to hunt for crabs. The kids have all been looking forward to this. We got our flash lights and buckets ready. The Cortez crew were planning on taking some crabs home with them, but we were just going for the fun of it. (I promised Hannah we would get her a Hermit Crab after school started if she did good.)

She asked me not to post this, but it is just too good not to! I love you Ellen!

Lining them up by age! Getting ready for crabbing.

Hannah was so funny to watch. She wanted to catch a crab so bad but was afraid of them. So when she finally got her chance to catch one she did it so fast and jumped a screamed the whole time. She loved it, but didn't love it! She caught about 6 total.

This is our catch early on. We ended up with a whole lot, not sure exact count, and they all went home with the Cortez lot.

Summer Vacation ~ Monday

Monday was just as nice as Sunday! The weather was perfect and the ocean was clear. Hannah and DJ got a little too much sun on Sunday so I made Hannah wear my hat and her cover up while in the sun. She is just so fair!

The next three photos are of Ethan, Claudia and Trey. They were screaming "cannon ball" and then running and jumping into the water. It was pretty cute! They all had a great time playing together.

Hannah and DJ were hard at work at a tunnel that you could actually go thru. They dug so deep there was water collecting in the bottom of the tunnel. The next photos are of them in the tunnel.

The above picture is DJ "testing" the tunnel before the kids could go thru it and just as he started to go in it collapsed. :(

So he decided we could bury him instead!

And Trey wanted to be buried too!
