Tuesday was a crazy weather day. The forecast showed scattered showers in the morning and thunderstorms in the afternoon. So we decided to go to the beach when it was just sprinkling. The waves were awesome and the kids wanted to try out their new boogie boards. Hannah LOVED it! Because of the sprinkling I didn't bring down my camera. I was afraid it would get rained on. So no cool pictures of that! At lunch time though the weather started to get ugly so we went up to eat and rest for the afternoon. However the weather ended up being pretty in the afternoon and so the kids got to go to the pool and swim.
Pretty sunset after the rain.
Tuesday night we all went out to hunt for crabs. The kids have all been looking forward to this. We got our flash lights and buckets ready. The Cortez crew were planning on taking some crabs home with them, but we were just going for the fun of it. (I promised Hannah we would get her a Hermit Crab after school started if she did good.)
She asked me not to post this, but it is just too good not to! I love you Ellen!
Lining them up by age! Getting ready for crabbing.
Hannah was so funny to watch. She wanted to catch a crab so bad but was afraid of them. So when she finally got her chance to catch one she did it so fast and jumped a screamed the whole time. She loved it, but didn't love it! She caught about 6 total.
This is our catch early on. We ended up with a whole lot, not sure exact count, and they all went home with the Cortez lot.
