Circus Clowns!

My grandfather is a Shriner here in Little Rock. Every year they host the Shriner Circus. It is pretty fun for the kids. They get to ride an elephant and/or ponies. They get to get face paint and interact with A WHOLE LOT OF CLOWNS! And not to mention the popcorn and soda! Overall they had a great time, as always.

 It doesn't look like it from the picture, but Hannah LOVED the nose. She wore it until she got her face painted!

 Well, they all did except for Trey. He just thought they looked silly! (Trey, Hannah, Iva and Aaron)

 Aaron thought the butterfly was a little over done by the girls, so he opted for a boyish spiderman! Good choice Aaron! :)

 Trey was a lion! And a cute one at that!

 Every time I turned around these kids were harassing a clown for an autograph, picture or hug! They were all good sports!

 I didn't take a lot of pictures of the acts since they were...lets be honest...not that great! BUT there were two that I enjoyed. The bears and the elephant. These bears actually rode a bicycle! Crazy cool. I had never seen that before.

 So at intermission, the kids got to ride an Elephant! Yes, a real one! So cool!

 Trey liked the body builder act. He even mimicked him during the act!

I thought she looked pretty. But boy did she smell!

Hannah Zoo Field Trip

I volunteered to help with Hannah's field trip to the zoo. She absolutely loves going on field trip for one main reason, riding the bus! She likes the actual trip too, but the bus is her favorite part. I was assigned one of her friends, Lexi, and together we toured the zoo with Emily's Mom, Emily and Caleb. Here are some pictures. Go Army Strong!

My two youngest brothers are joining the Army. Matt is going into infantry and Taylor is going in to be a watercraft engineer (fancy word for boat mechanic). Matt's is pretty straight forward. Taylor was selected for this job based on his high score. It's a job you don't see often in the ARMY. He will not be working on Naval bases but strictly on Army watercraft. Pretty cool job since one of the few spots to be stationed are Virgina and Hawaii!

Both are starting basic training this month. Matt left on May 7th and Taylor is leaving May 15th. Just a week apart from each other. They are going to different places though. So we decided to throw them both a joint going away party with family and friends. Matt's family will join him when he gets his station orders. That will be about 14 or so weeks from his ship out. Taylor doesn't have a wife or kids, but he will get his assignment location in about 9 weeks and then complete his training there.

More Soccer

Hannah's second game of soccer was on a really cold day! It was also picture day. So, in the formal pictures Hannah was making a really funny face because she was cold. And she wore her jacket the ENTIRE game with her hand tucked in her pockets the ENTIRE TIME!
